The meeting reaped fruits as Justin Trudeau and PM Narendra Modi sat for bilateral talks to produce 6 MoUs, this Friday on diversified sectors including defence and security, trade, education, investment and tourism.

The PM of both countries sat on Friday to discuss on wide number of topics. PM Modi emphasized on two countries to jointly work for removing terrorism and extremism. He also mentioned that both the countries have the same view on propagation of North Korea, harmony in Indo-Pacific area and the independence of Maldives’ democratic institutions. In return, Trudeau appreciated PM’s views and agreed that both counties have the same democratic and cultural values.

The Canadian PM was given a formal reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan Friday morning, following which he was welcomed by President Ram Nath Kovind, PM Modi and other members. Moving further, the PM paid honor to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. Not just this, he sat and discussed with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
