A new structured building has been established in the False Creek Flats deems as an eyeful smasher.

This beautiful building is the focus of attention for many people. It is the section of PCI Development’s new ‘South Flatz’ office building at 565 Great Northern Way. It is designed in the middle of the 20,000 sq. ft. plaza. This building faces the entryway of both the office building and Emily Carr University of Art & Design’s (ECUAD) campus.

The whole pavilion building is 2000 sq. ft. and architect has take an impression of flower segment to design the structure. Building is covered with glass windows.

According to architect, “Sculpted for inside-outside visibility from all sides of the plaza, the petals flare to signify its three entrances and culminate to form a glazed oculus that floods the interior with diffused natural light,” adding that the pavilion “acts as both a gate and a community-gathering place working as a catalyst to activate the main plaza.”
