The Keg Mansion had once been the personal living of industrialist Hart Massey, he lived with his family. There are people who believe that in 1915, when Massey’s only beloved daughter, Lillian passed away, their maid went mad and hung herself in love of her mistress as she couldn’t bear the grief of Lillian’s death. However, other tales about the same place say that the maid killed herself for she didn’t want to reveal her relation with a Massey man. In both scenarios, the hanging image of a maid has been witnessed by many Keg’s visitor over the years.

Ever gave a thought if Bates Motel in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho or Overlook Hotel in Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining were scary residences? Well, no doubt, Banff Springs Hotel is surely most the picturesque hotel of Canada but one cannot also deny the haunting rumors about it. Constructed by the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1888, this architectural place is known as the junction of several horrifying ghosts. News of ghost sightings are frequently received there, such as a family murdered in room 873, a bride who fell down the hotel’s marble staircase and died right there, and an old head bellman named Sam McAuley, who continues to haunt the hotel dressed in full uniform, is the news of everyday.

The Fairmount Château Laurier was commissioned by Business Tycoon Charles Melville Hays, who died suddenly in 1912 a few days before the hotel’s grand opening. According to rumors, Hays’ ghost has since been visiting the hotel and is seen wandering across the hotel. Perhaps he believes, “Had we invested our time and energy into constructing the luxurious Château, just to close our eyes mere days before its opening, we must have been inclined to visit frequently as well.”

People claim that the spirit of a train conductor haunts this known eatery made above an old underground railway track. Strange cold drafts and unusual rearranged furniture settings invites the deceased conductor. A photograph of the 1950’s era, makes the matters even spine-tingling, an electric trolley now used in the food junction’s dining room. The picture gives hints of a ghostly figure, like, the train conductor, standing on the steps of the trolley.
