The 1997’s movie ‘The Sweet
Hereafter’ revolves around the tragic accident of a school bus causing death of

Videodrome shows unethical and awful happenings; human torture and murder. When
a television programmer Max Renn and his partner Nicki brand unfolded the
hidden truths, they came to know that these shows were actually based on real
incidents and murders. This 1983 story is mysterious, cagy, and gripping, shows
the efforts of the director David Cronenberg. However, the movie ends with an

the Canadian producer Zacharias Kunuk, listed in an Inuit category. This movie

rock-band and a little too shy Scott Pilgrim always finds it difficult to talk
with a girl. But when his heart finally fell for a lady Romana Flowers, he has
to take in control of all her seven exes to get with her. With all the cinematic
influences of the movie and graphic approach, this make it all the more worth-watching.

Filmed in 2006, Bon Cop, Bad Cop
is a detective aka crime movie, directed by Eric Canuel. It is a thrill and
action package for all the exhilarating viewers who love to watch such types of
movies. An electrifying sense starts when a murder happens at the
Ontario-Quebec border. Two detectives from each province are picked to lead the
case. Unfortunately, the two detectives share no common thing in each other.
Colm Feore is a Toronto based detective having a very serious attitude while
Patrick Huard belongs to Montreal with a great sense of humor. The title,
because of the distinguishing features of detectives, sounds like Bon Cop, Bad
Cop.
As the detectives belong to
Ontario and Quebec, so these two provinces are majorly portrayed. Apart from
that, Hogtown, City of Festivals, Ottawa, and Vancouver have been shown in the
movie.
Canadian filmmaker Guy Maddin in
the year 2007, himself visit the Winnipeg where he used to live in his
childhood and still is living there. This movie is a biography of the director,
capturing in the lenses of a camera, showing his love towards his native city.
He calls this place "docu-fantasia” in the film. He tries to revive his
childhood memory by catching a laughter in the things like hockey, sledding,
watching roaming bison, pipe-smoking contest, seances, frozen horses in the Red
river etc. A true and pure movie with a touch of black-n-white tint.
The movie is about Winnipeg, a
city of Manitoba, Canada. It is a documentary setup in the city to show the
historical and dream-like shades of the city.
This 2001 movie is based on a
renowned Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of a writer Annie Proulx. The movie
encircles a man Quoyle who has gone through many hardships and difficulties
after the death of his wife. His remarkable and exceptional journey become the
basis of this movie when he and his daughter are advised to move to the
northern part of the country to their native home. He then starts working as a
local newspaper reporter. During his voyage, he unfolds many secrets of his
family.
The movie is primarily filmed in
the northern Newfoundland, showing beautiful scenery of the cost of
Newfoundland. The major places include St. John’s, New Bonaventure, and
Trinity. The movie surely gets a remarkable success in capturing the scenic
views of the Newfoundland.
Another story directed by Michael
Dowse and written by a Canadian writer Elan Mastai. A 2013 Romanticism in touch
with comedy, when a medical school dropout boy Wallace starts to fall for his
new friend Chantry who is an artist and sadly interested in someone else. How
would Wallace transform his feelings into words? Would he be able to approach her
or not? Would his love affect their friendship? A hopeful yet epic love story,
folded with a perfect romance.
I guess they love Toronto much
because this movie is also produced in Toronto, included its not-so-famous
places like George Street Diner, Rooster Coffee House, Riverdale Park, and the
Royal Cinema. The movie can truly make the audience fall for Toronto heartily.
Written by Mordecai Richler in
1959 and aired as a movie in 1974, directed by a Canadian director Ted
Kotcheff. The main character named Duddy Kravitz, 18 years old Jewish boy whose
father is a middle-class Taxi driver earn to provide for his family and elder
son for his medical studies. Duddy lives in a gloom of his father. He wants to
do much more for himself to change his bad days of poverty. But he tries to
conquer his dreams through the wrong ways. With the days passing by, he keeps
becoming a miserable man, forgetting all his responsibilities, be it social or religious.
The book illustrates the 1950s
Montreal and so does the movie try to. Saint Urban Street is the main view of
the movie. Wilensky’s Light Lunch also appear in the movie. It was first
started in 1932 and still alive here in Montreal. Its special sandwiches filled
with beef salami, bologna, Swiss cheese, and mustard are everyone’s favorite.
