The TTC has initiated “please offer me a seat” program.
TTC has introduced this program to facilitate people. They introduce this program with the help of TTC’s Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit. Through this program, people will be able to find their seats while traveling on TTC by just wearing a button showing they are in need of sitting in a place.
Transit released a report saying, “similar to programs in New York City and London, this is part of the TTC’s growing commitment to increasing accessibility for all of its customers.”
TTC further mentioned that it is up to the customer’s will to participate in the program. First, the person has to request a button from Customers Service Agent then TTC will respond to their request.
TTC further says that in order to book a seat they will first see the needs of the passengers based on their age group.
The program provides good services to the passengers and it is purely a volunteering program not a compulsory thing to do.
You can get the buttons by either of the following ways:
Customer Service Agents
Collector Booths in TTC station and
Via mail upon customers’ requests
