Justin Trudeau is in
Amritsar and guess what, it’s his 4th day in India. And he along
with his family visited the famous Sikh shrine – the Golden Temple in Amritsar.
The Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu along with Minister of State Hardeep
Singh Puri received the family.
The Trudueaus carried on the same flow as that of Mumbai and
Ahmedabad, and showed up in traditional and flamboyant dresses to give respect at
Harmandir Sahib.
The family were attended by
Canada's Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan and other Canadian officials.
Upon completing their prayers
at the temple, the family sat for the riwayati (traditional) langar – a community
meal taken together. They also did kar seva at the community kitchen of Golden Temple.
Surprisingly so, the PM’s wife attempted her first roti-making, directed by
Vikas Khanna – a celebrity chef from Amritsar.
The chef uploaded a cheering image
on Instagram which showed Justin and his wife getting their first hands-on with
rotis.

The Prime Minister wrote a comment in Golden Temple book of

well received at such a beautiful, meaningful place. We are filled with grace
and humility,"
Justin Trudeau was offered a 24-carat gold-plated portrait
