A draw took place on February 21, Wednesday, the comprehensive ranking score was 442 in which Canada invited 3000 Express Entry candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence. Another draw was held on 7th February in which 3000 candidates applied too. These draws showed that number of ITAs increased by 250 over the previous five draws. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) once again held up a draw putting up a rule in which all candidates with a CRS score above 442, as well as those candidates with scores of 442 who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before this time, will receive an ITA.
A stream in Ontario known as Human Capital Priorities scheme which permits to search the Express Entry pool for candidates with a CRS score of at least 400, among other criteria. Trisha is a 31 year old lady, who has a bachelor’s degree and is working as an IT Consultant for 3 years. She has written IELTS and scored 8 in each category. She has never studied or worked in Canada but has a sister who is a permanent resident in Vancouver. Her CRS score of 442 would have been enough to obtain an ITA in the most recent Express Entry draw. Shaun is a 36 year old English professional man who holds a master’s degree. He has been working as a manager consultant since 5 years and has never worked in Canada. His CRS score of 443 would have been sufficient to obtain and ITA in this latest draw. “This latest draw is the second consecutive draw in which 3,000 candidates were invited to apply, up from 2,750 during each of the previous five rounds,” said Attorney David Cohen, senior partner with the Canadian immigration law firm Campbell, Cohen.? “It will be interesting to see how many candidates IRCC will draw in upcoming invitation rounds given the higher admission targets for 2018 and 2019.”
