Waiting for Easter holidays is really not easy as people eagerly wait for this long and most anticipated holiday of the year. This year, the Easter dates have changed a little as it falls on March 30 with Good Friday leading to Easter Monday on March 2nd and in between them, Easter Sunday falls on 1st April which is officially an April Fool’s Day. As this long weekend is just a few days far, all of you must be planning to celebrate these days with full zeal. But before that, you should know the areas that are closed and open in Ottawa.
Here’s the list of these areas to make you help out in your travel plans.
Ottawa City Hall and all seven client service centers, including the Government Service Centre located at 110 Laurier Ave. W., are closed.
The Provincial Offences Court at 100 Constellation Dr. will also be closed.
The city's 311 contact center will be open for urgent matters.
There will be no green bin, recycling, garbage or bulky item collection. Pickup that was scheduled for Good Friday will take place on Saturday, March 31.
The Trail Road Waste Facility will be closed.
All branches and services of the Ottawa Public Library will be closed Good Friday.
The Sexual Health Centre and satellite clinics will be closed.
City child-care centers will be closed.
The city's dental clinics and well baby drop-in will be closed Good Friday.

The Ottawa Public Health information line will be closed Good Friday but people can leave a message, and inquiries will be responded to within one business day.
Pools, arenas and fitness centers will be operating on modified schedules on Good Friday, including public swimming, aqua fitness, public skating and fitness schedules. Residents can check the city's website for details about individual facilities.

The Barbara Ann Scott Gallery, the Karsh Masson Gallery and the City Hall Art Gallery will remain open.
